Skills tailored to the actual needs of the social, economic, working, and technical environment can be acquired by our students in project-oriented learning in modules. Students gain precise experience by learning independently, working together in groups, and approaching problems systematically. They are able to observe and reflect both themselves and others, and are able to apply theory into practice. Professional competence, accountability, and commitment are the crucial competences obligatory today for job performance on a higher level.
Our module based programs are creating an activating learning environment, an opportunity intended to face today’s fast changes engineers are continuously challenged by.
Our Technical High School/Grammar School (Technisches Gymnasium) approaches young people ambitious of getting their high-school diploma/A-levels. (The diploma from German secondary school qualifies for university enrolment.) This secondary education (grades 11 - 13) focuses on occupation on the one hand (structural engineering, electrical engineering, and metallic engineering) and on natural sciences, languages, and social sciences on the other hand. Our students are provided with professional competences coupled with literacy (logical thinking, language using, and information technology applying) and civil ability (being responsible, being self-managed, being honest, respecting others, and appreciating various cultures), competences essential for people who live in our knowledge-based society, in a world of globalization in the 21st century. Our modern, dynamic, and holistic educational concept aims at competences decisive for students who want to enrol at a university or start an apprenticeship.
